"I think I learned the prayer by just listening to the older children say it before each meal so I just naturally said it. We also took turns at each meal to go up to the front to recite it. It was very natural for us children to memorize psalms and Bible passages to recite out loud, so this was just one more thing we did. I remember being very proud to do so."
